Last post was for Friday night. This one is for Saturday morning.

My back squat depth has gotten progressively worse, which essentially means I'm getting weaker. I guess I need to do more back squats. My depth is right about where the bottom of my legs and butt are parallel to the ground, no lower, or roughly number 3 of this image. This sucks.

The double-unders were not too bad this time. I was, however, incredibly tired.
Sunday was a full day of hauling concrete bags, mixing and pouring concrete. Each bag was 60#. This was seriously horrible, except for the fact that we were in a beautiful setting in Pope Valley (nearish Napa, CA).

Go back to doing just body weight squats or a lighter bar and work on your depth. Key into where your weight is when you are at your deepest - make sure it's in the heels. Try squatting barefooted a few times - it will make you more aware of your footing. Practice sitting in a squat position, as low as you can go, almost resting your butt on your heels (i know that's not physically possible but just as low as you can go) for 15 seconds at a time and see if you can build up to a minute of holding a squat - just body weight. Squatting is one of the toughest things that "sounds easy". Y
All good advice. As for depth, I really can squat down to where the butt meets the ankle. I have depth-phobia with heavier weight. My body says, "No way man, we can't stand back up if you go any lower." You're right. I have to back off until I can master the depth.
